There are many ways to get hurt on a construction site. Please keep your kids out of this area and all construction sites. Helpful Information to help maintain a safe home: 1. Change furnace filter once a month for the first six months, thereafter check on a monthly basis and change as needed. 2. Drain a small amount of water out of the bottom of the hot water heater into the the floor drain. This should be done on a monthly basis to protect the heating elements from forming sediment. 3. Pour a gallon of water into the floor drain and any other open drain. This will prevent sewer gases from entering into the house. 4. Make sure rain gutter down spout extensions are down during raining periods. This will prevent excessive settling from occurring next to the house, it will also help keep water from getting into lower levels of your home. 5. If a sump pit has been installed check it after wet or rainy periods. Normal Occurrences: Expect some small concrete cracks, this is normal and will not effect the integrity of the concrete. Expect some cracks in sheetrock along corners and where the ceiling and walls come together. This is normal and due to shrinkage of material. Please read and understand your neighborhood protective covenants. You should have received these covenants at your closing. They are also available on this site.
